1: This series started out as a thought that there were no steampunk stories set in Liverpool.

2: Liverpool, for much of the Victorian era was the second city of the British Empire.

3: Sudley Hall is the setting for the first book - renamed Holt Hall.

4: It grew, very unexpectedly, into a series of three novellas.

5: I now have more books on Victorian life than I can shake a very big stick at!
